St. Chad's Building Program

Building Program Temporarily Suspended

The Building Committee and Vestry have unanimously concluded that enlarging our facilities is a proper expression of St. Chad's Christian ministries, but that now is not the time to carry out a Building Program.  While there are some positive reasons for proceeding at this time, the financial environment in which we find ourselves, including the overall economy, leads us to conclude that we should put the Building Program on hold for a while, to be resumed when financial circumstances allow that to be done responsibly.  Although we are disappointed in having to take this action, our faith allows us to be confident that a positive environment will return and that the Building Program will be resumed.

St. Chad's Building Committee began meeting in May 2007.  The Committee welcomes all inputs; please feel free to talk with any of the committee members, or email your questions or comments to bc3@stchadsabq.org.  Follow the links shown below for more information on the status and efforts of the Committee.

Architect Selection

The Building Committee has selected Bill Fanning, principal architect of Fanning Bard Tatum Architects AIA, Ltd. for the development of our new St. Chad's facility.  This firm was selected by the Building Committee on October 31, 2007 and ratified by the Vestry on November 1, 2007.

For a summary of the results from our survey on ministries, please see the written report and the categorization of survey results.  Due to the large volume of comments received, we are not posting them on the web at this time.  You may contact any member of the Building Committee with comments or concerns.
